ABOUT DR. WROOLIE

Tonita Wroolie, PhD, ABPP is a clinical psychologist (California License # PSY21009) in private practice in Palo Alto, California specializing in issues related to adult development and aging as well as assessment of cognitive impairment. She is a fellow in the American Psychological Association, Adult Development and Aging Division and has lifetime board certification as a geropsychologist through the American Board of Professional Psychology. She also has extensive experience in neuropsychological assessment, including evaluations of diminished capacity.

 

After receiving her MA in Health Psychology from Stanford University, Dr. Wroolie obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. She attended internship at Laguna Hospital in San Francisco and post-doctoral training at the Palo Alto Veteran’s Administration in Palo Alto. 

In addition to her private practice, she is a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University, School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. She also runs the neurocognitive lab at the Center for Neuroscience in Women’s Health at Stanford University, where she is a member of a team conducting research in Alzheimer’s disease and early risk for Alzheimer’s disease.

 

In addition to her work as a clinical psychologist, she is trained in collaborative law including a focus on Trusts and Estates. She has also volunteered to help resolve family disputes in settlement conferences in order to avoid lengthy and expensive Trusts and Estate court hearings.
